Plastic Surgery Procedures

Scar Revision

A scar revision is done to alter the appearance of the scar. The procedure may improve the cosmetic appearance of the scar, possibly restore function to a part of the body that may have been restricted by the scar, or improve an itchy scar. Scar formation is the natural way of healing and repairing the body.

It is important to remember that scars cannot be completely removed.

Lipoma excision

Lipomas are soft, fatty lumps that grow under your skin. They're harmless and do not usually need any treatment. However, they can cause health related issues in some. Our surgeon will help assess and give the best way forward including removal of the lump.

Skin Leison/ Mole removal

Mole/Skin excision is a surgical procedure to remove a mole, typically for melanoma or other suspicious growths, under local anaesthetic.

There is generally a biopsy taken and sent to labs for further processing.

Burns/ skin graft

A skin graft for a burn involves taking healthy skin from a donor site to a wound to replace lost skin function and promote healing

For severe burns that destroy the necessary skin layers for self-repair, grafting is a surgical solution. The procedure reduces infection, prevents excessive fluid loss, and can improve function by preventing scar contracture.
